I’d like to comment on the help I received from Skylar Dubrow, CPA. I received an IRS Audit notice in the mail last year and and I had no idea what step to take next. The IRS requested, in the letter, that I send them a letter for more than 20K for the 2012 tax year. To me this meant I was guilty until I could prove otherwise. I didn’t know if I should battle this on my own or look into hiring a professional. Fortunately for me, Skylar’s office was referred to me by a close friend who has used his Dad’s (Paul) service for many years.
Skylar assessed my situation and gave me a realistic prediction of the outcome of having him help me. The quote he gave me was much more reasonable than the big companies you hear on the radio. I really felt I could trust Skylar from the get go because he was very straight forward on the process and result possibilities. I hired him and immediately felt relief, because I didn’t have the time, energy or expertise to make sure I received a proper result.
On my behalf, Skylar communicated back and forth with the IRS, on multiple occasions for many months. He also helped me organize and present my records the best that could be done. He fought for me and didn’t quit when we received our initial less than desirable correspondence from the IRS.
Finally, we received a letter stating that I owed less than $1500. What a relief. I didn’t expect anything close to that and I definitely couldn’t have done this on my own. Skylar provided me with a very professional and personal service. I never felt like a number or just one of many clients to deal with. Skylar actually cares about helping people and he used his expertise to deliver excellent results.
Sincerely,
Brian
